the person who phoned me on this number sounded very dodgy. Phoned me back after I'd put the phone down too, claiming that there was a serious problem with the internet. Claiming to be from BT.

This is a scam caller. They will know your name but don't verify anything nor give them any information. They are based in India.
Vanquis bank
Phone scam from Pakistan claiming to be Three Mobile. When I said how poor Three were and that I would never consider moving to them they became abusive. I blocked the number and they started calling me through WhatsApp using their personal phones (+92 349 4942139, +92 349 4942137 and others) & said if I blocked them again they would find other ways of calling me & continued their abuse. This is a scam phone number sending fake txt messages supposedly from my child asking me to whatsapp them on a new number listed within the message, even though its been sent from 07704242830. Not the brightest of scammers!
