They claim to be a child cancer support group offering advertising for small businesses in a brochure which is handed out to thousands of people. They expect a fee of £149+ VAT ...

Fraud Yesterday I got a call and they asked me if I was working, I said no. But without knowing what it was about, they didn't want to tell me what they were meant to call me. This morning I received another electronic call in which it said that I had a serious debt and that if I did not call a number that informed me I would have serious consequences. The other is 07782696484, I'm trying to add to WhatsApp but there's no connection with the service.
rings every day, wont get the message
Called this morning. Did not answer as number not recognised. Unusually, an answerphone message was left informing me my NI number was 'linked to much illegal activity. and I must press "1" to speak to an officer or my NI number would "be suspended" and I would be arrested and all my assets seized.'

Why can t OFCOM do something about these types of call - suggesting I have been involved in an RTA s - surely OFCOM could remove the so called company s telephone number! Supposedly from Sigma Advice Company - Joshua Simons - they ring me monthly from a different number so WTF is OFCOM for?
