Fraud number plays a automated number talking about suspension of National insurance number. Didn't listen to the end. HMRC don't contact you in this way. I presume at some point you have to call at which point you will be charged an fortune.

Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. Automated call. When I picked up, heard automated message, as if from a voicemail service, saying " your call cannot be taken at the moment, please call later".... hung up immediately.
spam call received today (24/08/2020) "hello I am just calling to discuss your recent car accident" Asked them to confirm who they thought they were speaking to - and it was quite obvious a computer program running through options that had been prerecorded. Have now blocked them.
