Called today at 12.59 hrs. When I realised it was a cold call advised them my number was TPS. Howls of abuse and profanity followed. Very likely to intimidate someone who wore the Queen s uniform for twenty years !

I'm more and more convinced it is a scam. I was called this morning, by an automated voice, that there is a proceeding against me because I didn't pay my taxes, and if I want to avoid further consequences (including jail!), I should press 1. Pulled over, pressed 1, a female voice greeted me and asked for personal data. I didn't give any, and asked if there is a number I can call them back on. She said she would call me back later instead. Once home, checekd with HMRC, no issues with my status or taxes.
