pretended to have control of our phone lines and had spoken to our MD. All information they tried to use to prove they new who we were is in the public domain. They are trying a new sales tactic.

This number sent a text message, not a phone call, to ‘inform’ me I’d been in close contact with someone with Covid, and that I needed a PCR test. Interesting as I’ve been self isolating prior to a hospital admission.

Sales call pushing a cryptocurrency investment scam. When asked how they procured my number I was told an outright lie saying I'd signed up to their investment service, which is simply untrue. Very pushy and aggressive salesman. Repeatedly told him I was not interested and to remove my name and number from their database and he kept demanding to know why I wasn't interested. Ashamed to say I lost my cool and hung up - I should have had the sense to get all the details and report this. Please beware!

Call from a lady trying to get £249 out of me for an anti bullying campaign I had allegedly signed up to last year. She was very convincing and said I'd receive a thank you pack and what school would I like the bullying pack to be sent to. I told her I had no recollection of ever agreeing to sponsor such a thing. She gave me a web address of www.thepreventioncentre.org which shows they are legit...no such website exists, just websites that suggest this is a scam. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK DETAILS!
Missed a call. Called straight back and a guy said it was NCA? or something like that. He knew my name (from my number I guess) and said he believed I'd been in an accident...
Caller contacted me regarding my contact with BT openreach and claimed they were phoning to give me feedback on fibre broadband. He knew my name and sounded legitimate however on confirming my address the line went dead
