Caller who sounded Indian said she was from the telephone preference service and calling to say it had expired as - she was just getting to this - the bank card used had expired. She first asked how the telephone bill was paid. As the service is free I rang off.

Fraud (Suspected: Claimed to be Virgin Media. Could not get enough information to see if it was genuine)
As with all unsolicited calls from numbers I don t recognise, I pressed "answer" and put my handset to one side without verbal acknowledgement. I heard a male voice asking for me by name but they tired of my not responding and hung up within 20 seconds.
