I received a call at 2.32 p.m. on Thursday, 5th May. When I answered I could hear background noise; I said 'Hello' and waited but there was no answer.

Female caller with Asian accent claimed to be from Google, knew my surname, and began a query about my laptop or computer. As I didn't believe it a genuine call I said I'd sold my computer about three months ago. She asked about my Google ID (email?) and I feigned ignorance. She terminated the call. As my landline is not referenced by any of my Google accounts, this must be a scam.
