Fraud claiming to be sending an arrest warrant for tax evasion
Keep calling to say I had a accidnet 2 years ago. I dont even drive !!!!!
Caller announced they were from a promotions company then hung up, I could here people in the background laughing and talking, now blocked
SCAM ....I got a text at 10.30pm allegedly from Gov.uk saying I was due a tax refund and to fill in my details and then see if I was really due a tax refund. I called the number back and it rang out for a while and went onto voicemail GIFFGAFF VOICEMAIL! I left a message asking when the government started using Giffgaff and not to contact me again as I would be calling the police. It is under the guise of HMRC ALERT. On checking the number here it comes up as Manchester and O2 network
I have no idea who was calling as the womans Indian accent was so heavy, but it appeared to be about my internet. Indian + internet problems= scam. Hung up.
Has rung twice but on answering just cuts off.

Said that I had committed tax fraud and criminal charges were to be brought against me and that I had to press 1 to find out more. Scam

Fraud Left a voicemail saying it's HMRC about a lawsuit, to call them back or have my soliciter get in touch or prepair to face the consequesnces. Blatently using a chopped-together recording. HMRC would always try to contact by post, not phone.

Reports on other sites suggest it s a debt collection company called Capital Resolve, who claim to work on behalf of British Gas, Vodafone etc.
