Scam call, was called today from this number with a automated scam threat! reported to hmrc scam line.
I got a text message about my ad on gumtree asking if my pushchair was still for sale .and what s the final price and to email them . After reading this I have realised it s a scam let s see what they reply to my email address . I had two calls from this number. They told me that i have been sellected in the list of hundred people in a lucky draw. They asked me to choose numbers between certain digits. Then they asked me my bank account and sort code so that they could send me money if i win.... and i told them ????????????. Am i scammed?? I feel like it. How can i stop this? Plz help.

Claimed to be calling from Edinburgh Council (clearly a lie). Asked for me by name, then asked me to confirm the address, which I declined to do, as the phone number wasn t a local one. Her response was, we have to disguise it so people will answer... Not convinced it was the Council. 03333206871
