Just had a call from this number asking if I would like a quote on home insurance, and as I m registered with the TPS, do not want calls of this nature.

SCAM claiming to be my bank ( saying there’s been a fraud activity
V dodgy! These people have called me twice now, offering free line rental and a big discount. Claim to be BT, but they re clearly not ... the woman sounded ridiculous saying she was from "the British Telecommunications Company" with big lag on the line. First time they called they asked for my bank card or bank details to authorise the discount. Second time they rang, I hung up early before they got to that point.

Definitely not HMRC, who wouldn t be ringing you from a number that hasn t even been allocated, anyway.
