They now have a new number - 0800 4 11 88 99. Like many others I took out 3 years cover on a machine I no longer have. Tried cancelling over the phone but was informed I had to write in to obtain a refund. Did that a week ago but no confirmation of received so I tried phoning several times this morning but after seven minutes a voice says "Goodbye" and the call terminates. Judging from the ringing it is on a hunt group but nobody picks up. Looks like CAB is the next stop.
Had a call today from someone with a Glasgow number and accent purporting to be from Virgin media and offering me "discounts available on my account". Knew my name and location but went fishing to get the first two letters of my password. Now, being the suspicious type (as I m already screwing Virgin to the ground for price) I smelt a scammer so called him on it. "I m not telling you that as I have no way to verify who you are"..."
