Rang from "BT Internet" - wishing to speed test my system. Heavily accented voice amidst a busy call-centre environment in the background. I declined the offer & hung up.
Several missed calls, no message left. They are based in Edinburgh but, who are they?

They were rumbled by BBC with regards to cost trapping and harassment. They offered poor quality cars at high premiums. I made an online enquiry before knowing this. They call daily and email regularly. I have now set up emails to be sent to spam.

SCAM - someone phoned asking for my name and then said they have received 3 missed calls from me. The person on the phone had wonderful interpersonal skills and would have found a way to keep someone lonely on the phone for hours. I believe this is a scam to take your details and change you money for the phone call
Thought this was the vets calling back but just another waste of space scam call/ caller with a recorded message. Charges about international calling mentioned but ended call quickly. Oxygen theives is what all these so called people are. DO NOT ANSWER.
Car leasing company.
I got this number today, but didn t answer, and just got office background noise on the answer machine. This is despite only having changed my landline number a couple of weeks ago (because of many such scamming and harassment calls).I went ex directory and only let a few friends know the new number. How on earth did these scumbags manage to get the new number, and does anyone know if contacting Fraud Alert will help?
