recieved a phonecall on my break at work so with it being a mobile number i answered as my daughter is in nursery. he explained that he was calling today to discuss my credit, when i explained i was at work and i needed to go back i was asked why i answered the call. so i politely stated i thought it might be to do with my daughter and i was swiftly told to F.off then the line went dead!
another nuisance call, sounds like from africa.

Despite checking out the number on this website and seeing that it really was trustworthy (thank you to all the previous posters for that!) I nevertheless did what many advise, and rang the number on the back of my card to make sure. As I had had problems with my account in updating an online subscription only half an hour before the call, I was already alerted there might be a problem, but I was reassured by HSBC that I was sensible to double-check by using the number on the back of my card.
