A man called Angus introduced himself. I could barely make out what he was saying over what sounded like a busy call centre room. It sounded a bit like Pay Day Loan solutions. I heard the words "pay Day" distinctly.
Said they were from the Internal Revenue Service and that there was a warrant for "your arrest". No names.
Who?! Keeps callung with sane code and format.

Automated voice said I have an arrest warrant out for tax evasion. Scottish lady answered and asked for my name, then they asked who else was paying tax in my house. I said I'm not giving out any more information until they tell me what this is about, then they hung up

A foreign sounding voice asked me information about my computer, I refused to let them know anything as they sounded Eastern European, not Geordie if they came from Tyne and Wear.

Fraud scam. Scam insurance crash call. The call operator was obviously very new at this. Fumbled and stumbled his way through the script in barely understandable “Hind-lish”. I stopped him and told him he was really terrible at this game, should stop now, he’s not cut out to be another sh*tty scammer. Told him his parents would be ashamed of him. He apologised and cut the call.

The only reason they are calling you is to get you to call back (money making) and to confirm a contact number is active so they can sell it on. Lady called initially saying she was from Talk Talk about suspicious activity on my Internet then half way through her patter, after I asked her to spell her name (Janat then janet) she said she was from BT.
Fraud They said something about a warrant being out for my arrest due to tax evasion and to press 1 before further action was taken. I hung up right away. Quite a scary message and I could see vulnerable people being convinced that this is real.
