This was a call from a person saying they were from Virgin Media reporting that our internet had been hacked on numerous occasions to cut a long story short I was asked to download the TeamViewer App onto my iPad so they could “put everything right” they were very convincing and I foolishly parted with some money before my switched on son overheard me and hung up the call, I have deleted the app and contacted by bank to report the “Scam” I wanted to forewarn everyone if they receive a call hang up immediate

Safe number - NHS LOTHIAN – It’s a generic number that all appointment/surgery offices for the RIE, WGH, Astley Ainsley, Liberton, Chalmers, Lauriston etc hospitals all around Lothian use when trying to contact patients. It unfortunately doesn’t accept incoming calls and so the offices don’t know that you have tried to phone. Pretended to be Virgin Media and asked to confirm my personal details. I politely declined
They're weird, rings our office 3/4 times a week and no one speaks. We don't recognise the number and its not a local code. They don't say anything just hang up after about 5 seconds.
BEWARE this number is not the number given by Cabot in their letters or other correspondence It is probably a scam PHISHING they ask for personal data to verify you but could then use that data for financial fraud HANG UP and call the company only on numbers given in their letters dont ring this random number

I attended interview with Irish water on April 2023. I got a call verified my name and disconnected. With Google, I found the landline number belong to Irish Water Leeds office.
Received a call from this number this morning, i let it go to answering machine ( landline) and no message was left, then called beeped & ended. Very suspicious call I felt.
