This is the negative balance team from Paypal (See https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Paying-an-outstanding-recurring-payment/td-p/1000315 as an example). This team will call Paypal customers if a payment on their account has been paid by paypal but not by the funding source, creating a negative balance. The account holder has 45 days to deal with the issue, before Paypal go to the funding source to ask for the money on a "Chargeback" basis. Legitimate caller if you have a paypal account

Have received 4 calls today from this number, last one was 6-34pm. I don't answer, let answering machine do its thing ~ but they never leave a message to say who they were...

Friendly guy with asian accent purporting to be calling from Openreach and from his office in 81 Newgate Street ( which is actually BT's Head Office ). Scam, told to go away.

I received a text from this number, I have no idea who it is, the text says Your Creditors meeting is scheduled for Friday at 11.18am, please ensure you are available to take our call.Thank you Has anyone received a similar message

One of those calls when, once the telephone is answered, there is a pause and a female voice says "Goodbye". Presumably to check that the line is in use.

Wish the goverment would fine companies like this,I find it so stressful and annoying.

My Mum has been getting calls from this number, same as others report, just silent calls. My Mum s number has been registered with TPS for a number of years now, so this should not really be happening. As such, must be treated as highly suspicious.

Have had 3 calls from this number each time when I answered call terminates. ? Is this an auto dialer.

This number called me claiming they were from sky and my warranty had just ran out for my sky box and was asking me to pay them £80. Absolute con!!!!!!!

I m getting really sick of these calls now. I am registered with TPS but am called both on my mobile and home number. I actually pressed 5 to speak with someone and she just put the phone down on me. How can these telesales people do this all day long - what a sad life...The TPS obviously has no power what-so-ever...

Two calls from this number in 3 days, each time they hung up as soon as I answered. Very unnerving as it seems like a harassing call.

total scumbags rang me 3 times in one day first was PPI second call i missed and th third was at 10pm and for the accident that i had apparantley had. at which point i shouted at the top of my voice F**K OFF, they never rang back again

Recorded message claiming to be HMRC stating that it was taking me to court, and to press option 1 to speak to my case officer. Ridiculous scam, presumably trying to get my name, address and NI number. No government department would ever contact anyone in this way, and certainly never leave a message that inflammatory.

Missed the call, they left no voicemail so tried returning call which went straight to an answering service.
