Definite scam. I looked up Starpro - Aberdeen. They call off different numbers all based in Aberdeen and there's loads of people stating that they were scam artists trying to claim to be a phone company and asking for details.

Received a call on my mobile from someone with an African accent who could barely speak English, ie he was reading from a script. He seemed to be saying he was from 'Tesco Mobile' but am not sure of that. We ended the call and blocked the number.

SCAM Survey Sales call Fraud Hard to understand accent They start to ask about dishwashers, fridges etc. Then they ask about life insurance and investment. Unsure where did they get my phone number and name. Please don't disclose any personal info. It is probably a scam.
Woman called. Said my loft insulation didnt pass, as after a study by the British Lung Foundation found that it could be an irritant and did I want a loft inspection. Told her the house was only four years old. I asked her to identify herself. Said that she worked for loads of eco companies, so I said I trust no one and could she send me an email. She then hung up.
Tried to get security information from me. I asked for a direct phone number and he hung up. I called the credit card company and they said no one had called.

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Called the number back and it was an automated message from Crown Glazing Ltd. It said I could hit 9 to remove my from their list...so I obviously immediately hung up and blocked the number!
