Insulation. Called to tell me that the loft insulation I had supposedly had installed could cause more problems than it solved. Told the caller they had a wrong number as this did not apply to me, yet the young man continued in his spiel, so I put the phone down. My number is ex-directory.
TAXES / HMRC Evasion. If you receive a phone call either on landline or mobile from a supposedly 'HMRC', what ever happens, what ever you do, do not press any keys on your keypad as per instructions. This will lead to monies being taken from your account because you've allowed it to happen. Remember that if HMRC wish to contact you at all for what ever reason, they will do it by post and not on the phone. The same applies with banks. Please, people, don't do it.

Had a call at 1221 today, 12 Jan 17 but caller left no message, so obviously a scam/spoof/marketing call. Tried ringing the number back but got a Sky Voicemail Service. Tried calling the number again at 1530 this afternoon, only to have an automated message saying the Voicemailbox was full & could not take any more messages. SCAM Posing as HMRC, with spoof website. Apparently due a refund, but they'll want my bank details to transfer my money, but they'll take my money. Not falling for that. Please don't fall for it. HMRC will only contact you through letters, not a personal EE phone number, and their web address is .gov.uk
