Wasn't a scam after all, Halifax overnight poss weekend staff use mobile phones to relay messages, we were not happy to give bank details over phone but resolved online with company trying to make the transaction. Poor service from the bank as we were not aware they did this and we will always phone bank direct from published contact numbers and not unsolicited text messages a simple text message call your bank would suffice.
