They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. Some girl asked me about an accident i was in which was obviously a scam. I said I was in an accident as i wanted to string them along and I immediately got put through to an Indian or Pakistani sounding man. He asked about details and and I said that it was my fault and that I was drunk and crashed into a supermarket and mowed down 21 pensioners and also stole food as I passed down the aisles. He hung up on me.
