SCAM / SPAM
They are fishing for personal information and they have scripts to get details from us. They often call because such like as Orange, Vodafone etc, do sell phone numbers.. It is a way of making money from us........ Also, another trick is automatic electronic spin dialling, when a company/call centre hits on a number it could be yours. You answer it they know they have hit a number. The number can always be on spin dial, if the call centre is too busy to answer when you pick up the call, they can press a b

SCAM - Says it is Amazon with an order I placed, which I didn't. Hang up.

Heavily accented voice claimed to be from nPower and told me that my contract was up for renewal next month. Total rubbish!
I keep getting these calls asking for a Mr Tom dean. I'm not him. Its really beginning to annoy me now

Apparently calling from EE, did not hang about to find out what they wanted, ended the call. Multiple calls since from the same number. Contacted EE there and they confirmed they have not tried to call me. Worth checking with EE if you have an account.
PPI called me four times within 45 minutes

SCAM about NI number
Automated call bot that said it was from tax office and I was being investigated for fraud and an arrest warrant issued. I pressed the number on to learn more information and the guy who connected wanted personal info to confirm my identity. Thought it was a scam after that and it turns out I was right. Glad the phone cut off when it did.
