just got a call from the taxman. apparently there is a fraud case against my name and i have to press number one to be put through to the fraud team. if i don't press number one i will be arrested!!! not an obviously foreign voice, in fact very good english. ah well, best get my lunch before the boys in blue arrive........not.

These fools rang me and when I answered they waited and waited, then simply hung up. I suspect its a call centre with a rather naff bit of software dropping calls it handles. Isnt cold calling illegal now??

SCAM / SPAM Recorded message saying that they are HMRC and that an arrest warrant would be issued if I didn’t press 1 to connect the call. HMRC WOULD NOT OPERATE IN THIS WAY. DO NOT PRESS 1!!!

Called our university number as if updating contact information for a scientific magazine. Name given was Bio...something. Seemed to be a scam after they asked very personal identity questions like age and birthday for myself and the scientist listed on their "records." Hung up after this suspicious line of questioning.
Rang today saying money will be taken from bank account for computer maintainence? recorded message said Press 1 to stop this payment,I hung up.

This knob-head claimed I had a credit card/loan in 2009, when I asked him to be more precise he just re-read his script. I said this was all news to me so he just hung up, no sorry, kiss my a*** or anything... Its on par with the PPI pillocks and car crash lickspittles
