Pretending to be HMRC. Asking for money to avoid police proceedings.
Computerised recording waffling about HMRC, I hung up.
Asked to speak to the MD and when I asked who the company was she was calling from and what it was regarding she was rude and snapped why do you want to know, he will know? I told her to leave her name and number as it just felt like a scammer.
Number used for HMRC scams. You get a pre-recorded message saying something like "We are informing you that there has been a tax fraud under your name, press 1 to get connected for more details".
