This appeared to be from a Bank, it didnt say which alleging that there had been two suspicious transactions on my card and asking me to press a number on my phone to accept these transactions. The message was recorded.

They say they are calling about the miss-selling of payment protection insurance. I first got the calls in early May when i guess they were just checking whether the random digit diallings were live numbers and saving them into a list. Now they are selling the list or carrying out surveys themselves. This needs to stop. I know people who work in call centres doing this type of thing. It s a slimey business.
SCAM / SPAM A new " Amazon Prime" scam call today. 8 days ago we had the same type of call (01203482996) using the same robotic female (possibly Philipino) voice BUT this week the "cost" had almost trebled, they were apparently going to debit £99.99 from our bank account ....... Why calling twice and no single word?
Called me a couple of times, so I called back from a landline, putting 141 in first. A very Indian sounding man called John - yeah right - said I was through to Easy Call. I asked them to stop calling me, he said Ok and hung up. He had no idea who I was or what number they had tried to contact me on. Very annoying company - if they ring me again, the phone is going next to the TV, volume up!
