It's not exactly a scam, but to call the main line of a big company and ask for the Managing director without saying who you are and where you're calling from seems quite aggressive - Annoying and intimidating. Then he lied and said he would email him... well he won't because he doesn't have an email, his assistant handles it. So the fact he lied..... means he's not an honest person don't trust him.
