The remarkable thing is this is just one of a number of calls I ve had about a minor car accident I had about a year ago. My phone number was given to my insurance company ( a reputable company I ve always thought ) someone passed it on to these chancers. We talk about the rising menace of fraud and scams, this practise of selling on customers details has to stop. Whatever happened to the data protection act?

Just another junk call telling you they have urgent information about your claim that you never made.
Tried to tell me my BT router was picking up suspicious activity. They hung up when I told them I don’t have a BT account

Caller rang and left no message. Returned call but not connected. Seems dodgy

Repeated scam calls from Asian people stating they are from BT and that there’s a problem with my internet.
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, insurance marketing - mostly form this call centre : nexbridge.co.uk. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?
