This number keeps ringing for us to do survey & we keep refusing but they then ring back with a different prefix and it's the same company but we can't understand ...
SCAM: Phone number is for Ocean Mini (a car services firm) at 182 Billacombe Road, Oreston, PL9 7HE. The call was from an Indian sounding man called Steve, at 09:07 this morning, allegedly from BT Openreach calling about the sometimes slow internet speed they had noticed we were experiencing. He said it was a free call & asked me to be at the computer (PC or Laptop) and to click on the internet browser - Google Chrome or whatever I use. My PC was slow warming up. Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. Silence for 5-10 seconds on pick-up then recorded female voice says "bye" and line closes.
Received a call at 14.27 p.m. from Barclays/Barclaycard saying that two transactions had been made this morning. One for £2000.- and another one for £700.-plus. If I agree to this transaction press one, if I want to speak to someone press two. I pressed two. Then there was a pause and after a while the person with an American accent said good buy.
