Caller said they were from student services- I'm a Cardiff student so it didn't make sense that call came from Bishop Auckland (wherever that is). I continued the call anyway in case it was genuine, but caller then kept asking about utilities provider and saying Scottish Power would like to contact me with a no obligation quote. I politely declined, then caller kept repeating the same question. Must be commission based on how many people they get to agree to a quote from Scottish Power!!

Had the same - 2 calls, no voice, rang off. I've blocked it

indian sounding female - quoted me my address and my name and postcode correctly - she said id had a suspicious payment of ?2000 from my account to a john smith in usa. I questioned her about what bank i had my account with, she said natwest - I told her she was a scammer and a called her a liar and she hung up.
SCAM said they were fromm EE and was about my internet. I don't use EE.
