Said it was from my internet provider and my IP address was compromised. I think its a spoof!

this is a SCAM, they call disguised as a debt collector via a mobile saying you owe money for a High Court Writ and they will call at a given time so its best you pay immediatley. Its a scam.

life insurance/mortgage companies not asked them to call me but using a local code ?
This number called me 9.12.2022 told me it was BT and advised other people were using my internet connection and were doing so for bad purposes. Wanted me to turn on my computer so they could sort it out and stop the problem.
Rang once ... i called back thinking it was a client. Waste of time company trying to offer some type of services related to me having a credit card or loan. PPI?
