Got a call from this number when I answered they hung up I phoned them back and was told this number was not recognised surely somefhing can be done about these nuisance calls

this number called me I did not get to the phone in time to answer answerphone switched on but no message left.
Recorded message from a woman with an American accent pretending to be calling from HMRC, telling us or our solicitors to call her back or face legal action if we ignore the call. The call was made from the phone number she was telling you to call back on.
