It's a scam. An automated voice advises your Amazon Prime is about to be renewed (we have Prime but it's not due for renewal for many months) and to press 1 to speak to an advisor. This scam has been widely reported in the press, do not press 1, just hang up or better yet, don't pick up at all.
Called twice today and still have not left a message. Guessing it's a scam caller.
Text from UPS , very plausible, informing me of an additional small charge owed for a parcel delivery - I have two parcels awaiting delivery , both small and of low value, by the post office. No coincidence I assume.

This number just called my landline, the lady claimed that she was from Sky and that it had been reported time that my sky broadband was not performing at the correct speed. She did not confirm any of my customer details. Then she asked me what devices were connected to the broadband and instructed me to go to the p.c, so tat I could adjust the broadband settings. Is it a scam call - recorded message saying that my National Insurance had been cancelled and that I should contact the number given in the recording. Gov.uk and its varies depts. would in NO CIRCUMSTANCES contact anyone in this manner.
Its time we all stood up to these type of calls they are rude and should be closed down by the the service providers. Its distracting and takes up valid time from work, my company is making provision to remove all private mobile devices from work.
