SCAM / SPAM Scam claiming to be HMRC and tells you to click https;//hmrtaxrefund.com/ to claim your tax refund. It's not HMRC. Anyone that has ever dealt with HMRC would know that their website is www.gov.uk and they wouldn't tell you that you were due a refund by text.

Phone my ex-directory number which is screened by an ansaphone but no message left.
Trying to get bank account info out of elderly person. Claim to have spoken to her about an order they are sending her. Complete lies and very persistent. Keep ringing even after they have been told not to ring again. Initially said they were from The Health Company , which does not appear to exist. Latest caller refused to identify who they represented when asked and just gave a first name. 1471 was answered by a French language answering machine service.

Landline call asking how I was like they knew me ,l said l didn't know who it was and they must have dialled a.wrong number. I hung up and then left the receiver off I only have a landline because of an alarm system. I use mobile.
