I don't know anyone from the Halifax area. I do not answer calls if the number is not known to me. I'm going mad with dozens of cold /spam/unknown numbers a week!!
She was very pleasant, but the telephone code had the local code slightly wrong, which just makes you more suspicious that this is scam and not genuine enquiry.
The caller phoned twice within 30 minutes saying he was from a government organisation to check for energy efficiency. He said we wouldn't have to be at home and that it would be done by testing through the windows! I said I did not want to be sold anything. He replied that it would be free of charge. I hung up. The second call was answered by my wife who simply said we did not need any such check.

Got a cold call from this phone number and was immediately put on hold so listened to their crappy recorded message (and came to the conclusion they are trying to get people to change energy provider). After almost two minutes of waiting, a British sounding bloke answered, quickly said hello, then immediately hung up. So if you get a call from this number, don’t bother waiting patiently to communicate with them, just hang up.
