Fraud three mobile sms phishing scam
Finally answered to this lady who claimed her name was something like Lesley Olive (very poor phone line hard to hear). She asked for my mothers name and I said that person wasn t available and could I help instead. She then proceeded with her script about how her records show that i had a minor car accident in the last 12 months... I tried to explain that she had the wrong person but she was having none of it. Called my landline, leaving a recorded message about sms text messages, offering various options. 1471 gives the number 0333 3440000, which refers to website www.a2l.com/a2l.text . This is a French company based in Toulouse. Definitely seems to be something to be skeptical of. Pressing options suggested in recorded message not advised.
