Filled in a form on line for number of nuisance calls I received they replied said they would ring and number would begin 02921 so I new I could answer it. They advised me I was on numerous cold call lists I new this ad I get dozens of calls per day. Asked foir a fee of ?49.99 to remove me from all of these lists. I do hope I have not been conned ad I m a pensioner and cannot afford to be loosing this sort of money.

Thank god for google I just had a weird feeling that he wanted my address so bad so thought I d type in google and here it is !! SCAM - Automated voice said they were from a government agency and that my National Insurance number had been mixed up in some illegal incidents. It then said something about having to get back to them quickly. At this point I hung up obviously a scam.
TAXES / HMRC - recorded message saying have hmrc tax fraud lodged against my name and to press 1 to be put through to officer assigned to my case. Didn't bother as had similar last year regarding supposed unpaid tax which freaked me out and I fell for it but eventually ignored the 2nd call. Have now blocked number. Glasgow area

Automated call to say that there had been fraudulent activity on our bank account. Then gave 2 amounts. £250 and £1000. (or so).from Amazon. We have had 3 similar calls in the last 3 days. All from different numbers. No money has gone from our account and no bank name was given and therefore I presume that it was a scam.

Recorded female voice after a pause of a few seconds (that I have heard from other spam calls usually asking me about a car crash) so hung up and blocked the number! Definitely Spam!
SCAM Automated call to say I need to pay £300 if I stay on this number so hung up.
SCAM Automated call pretended to be Ofcom and that my io address has been connected with links and internet was to be switched off within 24 hours, and asking me to press 1 to connect with the scammer. Hung up and contacted Ofcom directly and clarified it was indeed a scam. Horrible bastards I hope no one gets caught out HANG UP IMMEDIATLY.
Telemarketing, very unfriendly, constant calling using different numbers after I have blocked the previous numbers. Claim to be a company called Beneficial. After being very clear about not wanting to be contacted by them and to take my number off my records they were very rude and said that they would not stop calling me in an aggressive tone.
Called received - automated message claiming to be from Visa regarding large transaction on my card and to press 1 to stop the payment. Didn't sound right. Called it back to get no answer and eventually the default EE voicemail message

Very fishy number. They called me but the person on the phone was a recorded message telling me to call them back. It also said if I disregarded the message I could face legal consequences. A girl called me from 01792764700 first. Then passed me onto 01792764700. I told them I have doubt about the call because the girl got my union number wrong by 1 digit and I said I would call them in the office instead. They haven t called me since a week ago. I call the first number, there was no ring tone. The second number did put me thro to an operator but I hung up. I find it a bit suspicious as they claimed to be calling on behalf of the union Unite. Sorry you re all getting harrassed by that. We recently got harrassed too by multiple numbers, be it America, Germany etc. These are the very famous people from India with their "Microsoft Technical Support". Don t answer calls that are from outside the UK or wherever you live in and dont even answer numbers that are too short to even be valid.
