SCAM automated call saying NI number will be suspended due to illegal / suspicious activity. Asked me to press 1 to speak to an officer, I hung up. If there has been suspicious activity they can contact me officially be mail.

Not for the first time my mobile has been contacted today by a caller from this number. Fortunately I missed the call, but as I have elderly relatives who live in the States the fact that I receive an unexpected call with a US number is personally immediately stressful. I always fear one of my cousins will be phoning to say an aunt or uncle of mine has died! Why are western governments so useless at controlling these predatory scumbags? - Answers on a postcard....

There is no point in reporting to the TPS or OFCOM these numbers that any scammer can buy. The telecoms company Magrathea That sold this number also supply a list of phone numbers to call. You are on that list if this number phoned you. Best is to get something like a Panasonic KX-TGJ420E and block all 0203 calls. And leave a Google Maps review for the telecoms company.
