Scam call - Recorded announcement saying that a tax fraud case had been opened in my name and if I didn't press 1 for more information a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

The call sounded very much as if it came from a call centre because I answered, there was a pause and a click and then someone answered from what sounded like a very busy office. He gave me an overly cheerful 'gooooood morning', which I didn't know how to answer because it's 4pm here. As I considered my response, the line went dead.

Said they were from Call Prevention Services old Gloucester Street Camden, said they worked directly with the TPS to screen unwanted calls, she said I’d been having a lot lately, I said no I hadn’t!! Worrying that they are using the TPS in the call. Obvio

Calls 2/3 times every single day.

Unsolicited call telling you that under government legislation you could write of 75% of your debts and to hold to speak to someone who could assist you with this. Very annoying to get these calls, which are becoming quite frequent (a few times a week)

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers or life insurance). For sure some general call centre with telemarketing offers. Did someone answer this one people? No way I would call them back :)

Random text message asking me to call my son's school and pick him up at a specific time and to contact the school reception to confirm - they knew his name and the school he goes to ! School had no idea and neither did my son, when you call the number it is not recognised.
