Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. He was obviously reading from a script. When I started asking more questions he asked if I was the homeowner and I said no I’m their daughter & they hung up! Very suspicious to me.
