I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.

I don t answer calls that I don t know number. I logged this on my phone as DNA (do not answer) about 3 months ago. Called twice this evening. Obviously on a list.

Caller claimed to be from British Gas. Repeat calls from someone with a very strong accent who was very persistent in obtaining renewal information and bank details. I was very suspicious and do not trust them.

Recorded announcement starting "Congratulations.....". I must be the luckiest guy on the planet, as I keep winning all these prizes.

Apparently I have won several thousand dollars in a US draw without buying a ticket. I was given a reference number but it sounds very much like a scam.

Asian telephoned my aging mother in law nearly every week about some sort of consumer survey. Would not identify himself or his company, admitted to calling from S.E.Asia. Would not get off line, did not understand the concept of F*** Off and kept talking until I put the phone down. A complete nuisance and very disturbing for my disabled aged mother in law.
