I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. A few days later the old phone reported a missed call and a text message. The message was just this number. I didn t call it back.

Scam pretending to be BT Open Reach. They say you have a problem with your internet connection in some way. Most likely they will hack your PC / install a virus / basically remote criminal damage. Do not follow instructions as it will likely cost you

Called daily from this number for several weeks, never leaves a message on answerphone. I suspect it is a auto-dialler phishing for phone numbers. I have now blocked the number.

I got a call at work and a female welsh voice said `I understand you are under 60 years old and therefore you qualify for a pensions bonus payment of £1,000 which you will receive within the next 60 days. Just received a call. First from this number. The caller started his pitch - so I quickly interjected with a polite but firm No thank you, good bye - after which the caller repeatedly shouted F*CK F*CK F*CK F*CK right up to the point where I hung up. Nice people!!

Received a phone call from this number today citing consumer services and something about a refund due to an overpayment on a loan taken out within the last 12 years ( I haven t). I asked him for details on this loan and he questioned me back asking well haven t you? . I retorted back well you tell me since you re the one here calling me. He hung up. I call back and the same guy picks up and trys to pretend it was a colleague I had spoken to. He then hangs up again. Avoid this number people.
