NatWest confirmed they didn't ring me, it was scammers trying to get details through security questions

They called saying they he was Mark Wilson (strong asian accent) and that BT Opeanreach were currently working in the local exchange and that I would need to change my router settings. I said I was not in front of my router and I would need to call him back. He gave the following number 02032907867 and said I should ask for Mark Wilson’s extension. I checked the number on Google which, suggested this is a scam trying to gain access to your computer and then your on line banking info. Hence no return c

Fake call from an American computerised voice saying they are from HMRC. I’m concerned someone vulnerable will be scammed by this!

SCAM - Person claimed they were from UK Insurance Department / Black Horse Finance. Had my name & first line of my address (somewhat disturbingly) and wanted me to verify further information for a PPI refund, even though I had never claimed for a PPI refund. They wouldn't give me a number to call and when I said this couldn't be correct, the date for claiming for PPI has long gone and companies aren't ringing people out of the blue years when they haven't claimed, he hung up.

Verso Group. Mr 'Eric' called reading obviously from script as when I asked to repeat name followed with, I will ask you only one question and will never bother you again. After his 2nd question about to approach the third I promptly reminded him of his initial statement. Asking politely Not to call me Again I hung up.
