Weird one, I got a sales call from a Liverpool number to my mobile who seemed just as confused as I was as they swore they actually dialled this number (01517060251). Have absolutely no idea which part of it is a scam. It's definitely weird. Googled the number and nothing came up.

01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
This number is being used by one of Orange EE s "preferred partners" !. In other words they are allowing telemarketers to use your number without your consent. Call and complain and use the TPS service

They called me 3 times a day for a month before I finally decided to answer the phone. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 19167122xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with FIRST ASSIST - car accident claims, insurance marketing, PPI. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
