Keep getting phone calls from this number who are saying they are contacting me on behalf of EE because I am due an upgrade. I explained I didn't want an upgrade and to please remove me from the call list but still getting phone calls. They also wanted me to confirm all my details but I wouldn't as they couldn't confirm that they were actually acting on behalf of EE.

This number called my mobile then disconnected after 2 rings. I called it back and an automated voice in an irritating American accent said "Hi. Thanks for calling. Please hold while we connect you". After hearing this for 5 times in quick succession, I hung up and blocked the number. I'm guessing a spam or scam caller.
I received a text message (on my mobile) apparently from TalkTalk confirming the date for an engineers visit. As I hadn't booked a call, I rang from a withheld number to cancel the booking. SCAM I received a call from this number at 14;45 today [27/5/21], purporting to be from Amazon and telling me that £399 has been charged to my card for some purchase or other that I most definitely have not made! The call was a recorded message, and invited me to Press One if I haven't made such a purchase. I DID NOT PRESS ONE! These calls should be illegal.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers) - can be something different and legitimate, but srry I'm always suspicious considering numbers for shared rate. I recommend to block the whole 0845286xxxx range... Did someone answer this number?

Called claiming to be from virgin media. Asked to press ctrl and r on your computer. This is the start of the process to allow remote access. I'm aware of someone who did this and then had an attempt to have internet banking set up. Someone else had their bank account emptied after doing what they asked. I told them I wasn't prepared to do anything as was aware of scams from people claiming to be calling from virgin media. They hung up straightaway then.
