I got this number today,but didn t answer, and just got office background noise on the answer machine. This is despite only having changed my landline number a couple of weeks ago (because of many such scamming and harassment calls).I went ex directory and only let a few friends know the new number. How on earth did these scumbags manage to get the new number, and does anyone know if contacting Fraud Alert will help?

I don't know who this call is from, these people that call never leave a voicemail to which I find irritating, I like to know how the hell they got my number.

Guy introduce himself saying he was contacting me as i was on a list to receive a refund due to bank charges. He asked me lots of questions about who ive had loans from and who ive had credit cards with. Just had a call from them offering financial services and asking for my credit card number. I hung up on them and 2 minutes later I got a call again but this time from withheld number.
