Foreign sounding man says I registered with his organisation a few weeks ago 'wanting to earn extra income'. Terminated the call without providing any info. Also had a similar call yesterday but the 'phone number was one digit different!
Just coming back about the second number given in previous post - 002220 88199804. I asked the lady on the phone for the location of this number, she told me it was central London. Just to let you all know, Country code 002220 is Gambia!
Information Sales call SCAM - A chap called David called stating he had been asked by the Madrid courts to contact me regarding a Timeshare case which was being represented for me by a company in Spain. He stated this company had been found guilty and his company could get my money back for a 10% fee of monies recovered. Fraud - Recorded message stating there was a tax fraud in my name and I needed to press 1 to be connected to HMRC. If I did not press 1 it threatened that a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. I did not press 1 as felt this was not an appropriate way for HMRC to contact people in relation to this type of matter.
Fraudulent call. Pretending that they will take legal action against your NI number if you don’t press 1. IGNORE!!!!
The callers change the last digit or two and keep calling on different numbers. I block each number on turn.There is no message and no one says anything.
Dont know who it was or what they wanted i dont let them get that far. As soon as i hear my full name asked for in broken englist i terminate the call.
PPI FIRM COLD CALLING
Fraud, it was an automated message claiming to be HMRC saying theres a fraud case against me. Then it asked me to press 1 to listen to information regarding the case. I hung up and blocked the number.
This caller is Teach TEFL in China, and is trustworthy. I went to China with them last year and it was a great experience.
