Asked me to confirm my name and address. When I asked why the person wanted this information, the call was cancelled.

Some survey rubbish.

Repeated calls two to three times a day sometimes but never leaves a message.

Asked for help and paid money for tutoring but got nothing back. Had a call on the day asking for more money and then threatened me with going to my university. I have contacted the fraud and police depts and have emailed him to tell him so! If anybody is blackmailed by him..ignore it...he is unable to do anything as it will only incriminate him further. The more people who report this evil fraud the better. Has anybody been actually able to get any money back from him? Can you contact his bank??

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago. They asked for me by my real name which i never use. Said they were calling from talk talk about upgrading my package. I told the girl i don t have a package with them, and she quickly replied that she was calling from Thomson Local. I enqired "Thompson Local?" To which she answered that she will call me back. Don t answer any unknown numbers, they are all scams, PPI, accident claims, Passwords for your banks, phishing, and if it is too good to be true it Bloody well is don t be conned, report all of these callers get them to be prosecuted as they are illegally calling me everyone, as under the DPA, if we report them to the Information Commissioner they have been successfully prosecuted last one was fined ( ?1,350,000 ) alone company this year

This is a number used by scammers trying to access your computer by telling you that it is infected, they guide you to view the syslog and look at the really bad infections. Then if you are daft enough they get you to open a command prompt window and log onto their website - result yhey have your computer and bye bye to lots of money

I always tell them that I never give personal information to strangers over the phone. If that doesn't make them hang up, then I do.
