Scam. Caller pretend to be from technical department in sky and want to improve the signal in my router. and when I probed him he put the phone down.
SCAM man with Indian accent saying he was from O2 offering 40% discount to their customers and would send a text with offer. Kept saying I hadn't received text so he stayed on the line and kept sending texts. Eventually told him that I wasn't with O2 so he hung up.

This is a scam number, and probably all numbers 023821464**. Asian sounding voice said he was from "Amazon Fraud Department" and that my account had been compromised (I don't have an Amazon account). They tried to convince me of their glowing credentials, that they ve been operating for 10years. Just received a call from this number which said I had a text message but the message was garbled. Phoned our friend who was in a London hospital thinking it was him and he had sent by accident a text message to our landline which resulted in this call. It must be the message service operated by BT but doesn t appear to work very well.
Automated call as soon as we answered the call was disconnencted. Apparrently a large number of such calls originate from this number. Why? It can only be bad news.

It's a 'clever' automated call, very sneaky and creepy about a "local energy adviser in my area" - not at all human with a bunch of questions and responses that are easy to spot if you know how. Older people will def be taken in - horrible development of technology!
