this was a call from Elite Direct in rainham Essex It was there UK Mail Order Service. They were not cold callers they phoned regaridng a order.

Calls every day for PPI, caller now blocked

"Mark from Windows Support" called me to tell me that my computer had been attacked by a virus. I was pretty sure at that point, because most of the time it is up to you to call the company if you have a problem with your computer and not the other way around. Anyhow, I figured I play along to see where this is going and they told me to click Start - run - cmd and then to type in a code that would give them access to my computer. Potential scam. There was a recorded message supposedely from my internet service provider (although it didn't say which ISP they were calling on behalf), saying that our internet service would be disconnected in 4 hours due to 'Router Malfunction'. Our router is working fine. I suspect this is a 'Technical Support Scam', where we would be expected to pay for fixing something that isn't broke.
