Indian sounding gentleman saying I had a problem with my internet. Wanting me to turn my computer on. I gave him a reason I could not do this he then wanted to know when he could phone back. Tried putting him off but very insistant. So with any luck I wont be here when he calls next

SCAM Called to tell me my internet was slow and they would fix it. They tried to send me to a website to fix it but when I asked if I could have a number to call them back to make sure they were legit they hung up. Claims to be BT technical regarding illegal use of broadband band and a threat to disconnect. It’s not it fake. Also calls from other numbers in completely different locations.
Said that because they’d refunded an overpayment that my account may show in arrears and I may receive an automated letter due to this error. They will remove it but wanted to let me know that they may not be able to stop the letter. If they’re making this many calls for this reason they should probably just have sent an email to everyone!
