This company has called me between 2-3 times a day telling me I've applied for a loan. Each time I've assured them I haven't applied for s loan and ask to removed off marketing, and each time they hang up when I asked to be removed and continue to call me each day. An robot appearing to be a person, asked about the accident I was in recently. Because I like to play with these people I answered from questions - e.g. yes I'd had an accident, but didn't remember anything about it. After a short while I was transferred to a real person, who I simply didn't say anything until they hungup on me. How are these people allowed to operate these phishing / scamming services? They're worse the the PPI people.

Looking at earlier comments, it seems this is Vanquis. I don t have a card or have ever had any dealings with them in the past so don t know why they call me about 6 times every day, including weekends. I block every number but they call from different numbers.

This number has called a number of times over the past week. Don t know why, or where they got my number from. Haven t answered any of their calls.

Number called me then cut off after a few words "i'd like to speak to..." I called it back and received an automated message saying "Congratulations you have successfully installed...." I hung up at that point. Fortunately my phone is very old fashioned so is unlikely to have successfully installed anything.
Missed call from this number rang it back and got automated message saying I had won either an IPad or 500 quid and to stay on the line! hung up sounds like a scam.

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
